After making his debut in Lucerne and Lyon in roles from Mozart and the bel canto repertoire, Ludovic Tézier was invited to perform at some of the world’s great opera venues (the New York Metropolitan Opera, the Vienna Staatsoper, the Paris Opera, Milan’s La Scala, the Liceu in Barcelona, the Capitole in Toulouse, London’s Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Salzburg, Bregenz, and Glyndebourne Festivals, and the Chorégies d’Orange) where he sang the title roles in Hamlet, Eugene Onegin, Don Giovanni, Werther (the baritone version), as well as Renato (Un ballo in maschera), Ford (Falstaff), Posa (Don Carlo), Yeletsky (The Queen of Spades), Enrico (Lucia di Lammermoor), Germont (La Traviata), Valentin (Faust), Escamillo (Carmen), Chorèbe (Les Troyens), Wolfram (Tannhäuser), and Marcello (La Bohème).
He has sung under the baton of numerous conductors including Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Evelino Pido, Myung-Whun Chung and Riccardo Muti. More recently, he sang the role of Marc-Antoine (Cléopâtre) at the Salzburg Festival and the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Don Carlo (La Forza del destino) at the Liceu in Barcelona and Munich's Bayerische Staatsoper, Escamillo, Marcello, Giorgio Germont, Scarpia (Tosca) and the Count di Luna (Il Trovatore) at the Paris Opera, Alphonse XI (La Favorite) at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, the Capitole in Toulouse and the Salzburg Festival, Posa at the Teatro Regio in Turin, the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, the Bayerische Staatsoper and the Vienna Staatsoper, Enrico (Lucia di Lammermoor) at the Bayerische Staatsoper, the Paris Opera and London’s Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Valdeburgo (La Straniera) at the Marseille Opera, Don Carlo (Ernani) at the Monte Carlo Opera, Amonasro (Aida) in Rome in a concert version (recorded for Warner Classics), the title role in Rigoletto at the Capitole in Toulouse, the title role in Macbeth at the Liceu in Barcelona and the title role in Don Giovanni at the Vienna Staatsoper.
