Philippe Estèphe began singing in the Chants de Garonne, a lyric company based in Agen, then in the Opéra Bastide company. He takes part in the lyric workshops of the 12th century conservatories. Currently, he trains with Lionel Sarrazin.

He made his stage debut performing the roles of Claudio (Beatrice and Benedict), Masetto (Don Giovanni), and Norton (La Cambiale di Matrimonio). He is also interested in contemporary opera as he played Blue Beard in Sweet and Blue Beard and the title role of Marco Polo, two books by Isabelle Aboulker. He regularly performs with the Aquitaine Philharmonic Orchestra; this collaboration enabled him to interpret the roles of Papageno (Zauberflöte), Escamillo (Carmen), Albert (Werther) and Don Giovanni.

Finally, Philippe Estèphe has more recently played various roles, stylistically and dramatically, such as Aeneas (Dido and Aeneas), Frederic (Lakmé), Bobinet (La Vie Parisienne) and Belcore (L'Elisir d'Amore) and as Don Giovanni on tour with Opera Eclaté. He also sang the role of Guglielmo (Cosi fan tutte) at the Opéra de Limoges and the Count (Cherubin) at the Montpellier Opera, Taddeo (L'Italiana in Algeri) at the Saint-Etienne Opera, Dandini (Cenerentola) at the Opera de Tours and the Cologne Opera. He has just sung the role of Spark (Fantasio) at the Opéra Comique and the Opéra de Genève, as well as the role of Dédale (The Monster of the Labyrinth) at the Opéra National de Montpellier and Peer Gynt at the Opéra of Limoges and the National Opera of Montpellier.

Among his projects are the role of Spark (Fantasio) at the Opéra de Rouen, Morales (Carmen) at the Montpellier Opera, Les P'tites Michu by André Messager at the Opera de Nantes, Raimbaud (The Count Ory ) at the Opéra de Rennes and the Opéra de Rouen, Bretigny (Manon) at the Opéra de Bordeaux and at the Opéra Comique or Papageno at the Opéra de Marseille
