Overview

"Rain II: Declaration of Love" is a new production by the Russian dance company WetMen from St. Petersburg. This spectacular show combines contemporary dance, elements of ballet, acrobatics, street choreography, and physical theater. The show's main feature is the stage, which is continuously showered with real rain throughout the performance, transforming the water into a fully-fledged artistic element.

"Rain II: Declaration of Love" is the second part of the renowned "Show in the Rain," which has become one of the most successful Russian touring dance projects since its premiere in St. Petersburg in 2009. This production is not a direct continuation of the first part, but rather a new story dedicated to the theme of love and human relationships.

The performance centers on a man's emotions: first love, passion, doubts, conflicts, breakups, and true love. The story is told entirely through body language, without dialogue. Contemporary choreography combines classical ballet, acrobatics, gymnastics, and street dance, while real water on stage creates spectacular visual effects.

The second part features completely updated sets, lighting, costumes, and stage effects. The production emphasizes interaction between the artists and the audience: during the show, performers can enter the audience, invite the audience to participate, and create an atmosphere of lively communication. Thanks to its combination of power, humor, romance and virtuoso plasticity, the performance gained great popularity in many countries around the world.
