Semper Opera Ball is the largest classical entertainment event in the German-speaking world and has developed into one of the most important European ball events. Since 2006, the ball has convinced 2,500 guests in and 15,000 spectators in front of the famous Dresden Semper Opera House as well as millions of spectators in front of TV screens worldwide year after year. Its composition of arts and artists is unique in Germany. The grand opening gala is broadcast live on television for five hours throughout Germany and Europe. It is therefore no wonder that this unique event is accompanied by 200 accredited journalists. But not only national and international media representatives follow SemperOperaball closely, also top-class personalities from politics and business as well as stars and starlets from culture and entertainment feverishly await this major event of the city of Dresden every year. A rousing programme, the spectacular debutante waltz, dance, music and exuberant atmosphere create a rousing ball night.
