Designed by architects Buzzi, Bernasconi, and Baptiste, NICE ACROPOLIS Convention Center opened its doors in 1984 and was inaugurated in May 1985 when the prestigious Apollo auditorium was completed. Its layout was carefully designed: gardens, fountains, and numerous works of art are on exhibit outside the building.
The NICE ACROPOLIS complex includes the Acropolis Exhibition Centre, built in 1954, and the Acropolis Convention Centre, added in 1984 largely renovated in 2011-2012. The convention and exhibition centre has hosted over 5,000 events while drawing in more than 7 million participants. The venue’s appeal has won it numerous awards. The Acropolis Convention Centre has been named « Europe’s number one convention centre » for three years in a row !
