Overview

Wien Frühlingsstimmen Symphoniker plays a 2027 New Year concert of Strauss waltzes, polkas and operetta numbers, conducted by Wojciech Rodek with soprano Małgorzata Grzegorzewicz-Rodek.

Wien Frühlingsstimmen Symphoniker is presented as an ensemble from Vienna. The organiser says an Austrian association for Viennese classical music formed it with professional players. Conductor Wojciech Rodek is credited with the Polish Theatre Music Award for best conductor and the Gloria Artis medal.

Soprano Małgorzata Grzegorzewicz-Rodek sings. The organiser says she graduated with distinction from the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music, took first prizes at the F. Platówna competition in Wrocław and the K. Bacewicz competition in Łódź, and received a Fryderyk award for a recording of Mozart's Requiem. Adam Zajac is named concertmaster.

The New Year programme is Strauss waltzes and polkas, including Voices of Spring and The Blue Danube, with Rossini's Barber of Seville overture and Chinese pieces such as Jasmine Flower and the Spring Festival Overture.

Entry is by real-name ticket; every person, including every child, needs one, and no one without a ticket is admitted.
