In this China National Peking Opera Company programme, Princess Tiejing helps Yang Yanhui leave to visit his mother in Sitting in the Palace, an excerpt from Yang Silang Visits His Mother. Xiaoshang River follows Yang Zaixing's fatal pursuit of enemy forces. In Fishing for the Golden Turtle, Madam Kang sends Zhang Yi to find his elder brother, now a magistrate. When no news returns, she travels to Xiangfu herself.

Named after the Peking Opera master Mei Lanfang, this theatre brings traditional Chinese opera into a modern performance setting.
The red exterior and glass facade introduce a venue belonging to the China National Peking Opera Company. Two auditoriums offer different scales of performance: the main theatre and a smaller space on the fourth floor, both at the Ping’anli West Street address.
