Overview

Paris Philharmonic Orchestra will perform classic Chinese and foreign songs of the past century.

The Paris Philharmonic Orchestra was founded in the 1970s by musicians from many top European music schools, including the Paris Conservatory of Music, the Lille National Conservatory of Music, the Brussels Royal Conservatory of Music, the West Berlin University of Music, and the Conservatoires of Geneva and Lausanne, Switzerland. The orchestra is currently conducted by Sylvain Leclerc.

The orchestra's performance style is eclectic, broad, rich, colorful and vibrant. The repertoire is diverse in style, covering symphonies, operas, religious music, famous 20th century music works and even operettas and film music; among them, it is particularly good at playing 18th century European classical music.

In 2015, the Paris Philharmonic Orchestra's "My Favorite Symphony" concert was performed in many theaters including the Cité de la Music in Paris, the Madeleine Cathedral in Paris, the Great Hall of the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, the Théâtre-sur-Seine in Paris, the Salle Neuf-Century in Lille, France, and also toured in Milan, Italy, Freiburg, Germany, Algeria and other places.

The Paris Philharmonic Orchestra has been invited to tour in France, Germany, Romania, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, the Czech Republic and other countries, and to perform at various art festivals such as the Epinal International Music Festival in France, the Le Touquet Music Masters Festival in France, the Schwetzingen Music Festival in Germany and the Autumn Traveler Music Festival. In the past decade, the orchestra has also visited China several times for tours, which have aroused enthusiastic responses from audiences everywhere.

The Zhuhai Grand Theatre is the only opera house built on an island in the country! The theatre on Yeli Island in Zhuhai city comprises of one large and one small “seashell” making the whole architecture very distinctive, hence its nickname “The Seashell of Sun and Moon”. The theatre covers an area of 59,000 square meters, including a 1,500-seat large theatre and a 550-seat multi-functional small theatre. The shell-shaped structures draw inspiration from Zhuhai’s coastal features and there are even light projections at night!

Zhuhai Hengqin Chimelong Theater is the second permanent performing arts venue in Zhuhai Hengqin Chimelong International Ocean Resort. It was completed and opened in 2019. It is located in the center of the resort, connecting the charming pedestrian street along the Fuxiang River and Chimelong Ocean Kingdom. With a total construction area of approximately 63,000 square meters and more than 6,700 seats, it is a modern three-story special-effects technology venue that integrates a three-dimensional "water, land and air" experience, using a 270° panoramic ring stage and three surrounding waterways.

Zhuhai Hengqin Chimelong Theater is the second permanent performing arts venue in Zhuhai Hengqin Chimelong International Ocean Resort. It was completed and opened in 2019. It is located in the center of the resort, connecting the charming pedestrian street along the Fuxiang River and Chimelong Ocean Kingdom. With a total construction area of approximately 63,000 square meters and more than 6,700 seats, it is a modern three-story special-effects technology venue that integrates a three-dimensional "water, land and air" experience, using a 270° panoramic ring stage and three surrounding waterways, as well as more than 250 people. The meter-long high-altitude circular track, various water, land and air effects can be flexibly changed according to different programs, bringing immersive performance effects to the audience.
