Montalcino
Probably settled since Etruscan times, with its medioeval history and heritage Montalcino is a hill town and "comune" close to Siena and therefore situated in Tuscany, Italy.
It is mainly famous for being the birthplace of one of the most famous wines, Brunello di Montalcino. As consequence, its ecnomy is essentially based on wine production and tourism. Among the must-see venues in town, there are churches such as Chiesa di Sant'Agostino and Chiesa di San Francesco, museums like Musei Riuniti and, also, its Duomo (cathedral) devoted to San Salvatore.
