Largo Gustav MahlerThe Auditorium di Milano Fondazione Cariplo, which is the "house of music" of the Giuseppe Verdi Symphony Orchestra and Chorus of Milan, is one of the main cultural centers of the city of Milan.
The Auditorium was born from the renovation of the Cinema Teatro Massimo, thanks to the intervention of the entrepreneur Agostino Liuni on a project by Studio Marzorati. The stalls are shaped like a spoon, and above the hall overlooks the tiered gallery with its curvilinear balustrade. The ceiling is characterized by exposed reticular beams in reinforced concrete, which are arranged radially towards the proscenium with a suggestive configuration. The Auditorium stands out for its excellent acoustics obtained with differently carved pear wood panels. The capacity is 1250 seats.
