About

Chimelong Safari Park opened in 1997, covering an area of more than 2,000 acres. It is affiliated with Guangzhou Chimelong Tourism Resort, the first batch of national 5A-level tourist attractions. It is the first batch of private wildlife theme parks opened in China and one of the largest wildlife theme parks with the largest animal population in the world.

Opening times:
Monday - Sunday 09.30 - 18.00

Chimelong Safari Park has a large area of subtropical rainforest pristine ecology, featuring large-scale wild animal populations and self-driving, small train, and cable car viewing. It integrates animal and plant protection, scientific research, popular science education, and cultural tourism. The park has an animal science station that combines explanations and animals, a rich science corridor, a lively and interesting animal school, and a warm animal kindergarten. There are more than 10 national treasures, including the world's only surviving giant panda triplets "Meng Meng, Shuai Shuai, Ku Ku", more than 60 Australian koalas from seven generations, the largest koala population outside Australia, and more than 20,000 rare animals of 500 species, including the national treasure orangutans of Malaysia, the national treasure Asian elephants of Thailand, and the national treasure anteaters of Honduras. Chimelong Safari Park is praised by the World Zoo Organization as a "world-class wildlife park". In May 2023, Chimelong Safari Park was selected as the "first batch of national forest and grassland science popularization bases" announced by the State Forestry and Grassland Administration and the Ministry of Science and Technology, making positive contributions to the improvement and protection of world biodiversity.
