Casa Milà, popularly known as La Pedrera, is one of the paradigmatic works of Catalan modernism in Barcelona and the last private residence designed by architect Antoni Gaudí. One of the most notable elements of the building is the roof, crowned with skylights, staircase exits, fans, and chimneys. In 1984, it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
